Arizona Christian

This needs to be a well-played and won series for the Firestorm as they are ranked #21 in the NAIA and are 17-9. While who they are playing is a 6-20 team. What will need to happen for a good Firestorm series victory seems to be three things going into this series. First, that their three starters, Adrian Santa Cruz, Jackson Hohensee, and Eli Elliott threw strikes to get ahead of batters and use their defense behind them. Second, that their offense continues to impress, and that their three outfielders at the top of the order in Justin Ramirez, Daniel Durazo, and Marques Titialli continue to set the tone of getting on base and getting clutch hits for the top of this lineup. Finally for this series, is that the bullpen does a good job for the starters finishing the game by getting ahead of batters and having confidence to close out the game. Three relievers seem critical in this series, Bear Pinedo, Riley Quinton, and Anthony Chavez. This should be a great series for the Firestorm.

Series Notes

The Firstorm are 9-12 all-time against the Oaks.  While currently sitting on a three game win streak, ACU hasn't played Menlo in Atherton since 2019.  In last year's series with Menlo, the Firestorm dropped the opening game before rattling off three wins to secure the series victory.  The ACU offense put up 39 runs in that four game set, a performance they'll hope to recapture this weekend.
