Phoenix, Ariz.- On Saturday, Arizona Christian went head-to-head with their closest geographical competition in Grand Canyon and OUAZ. The men swam their way to seven personal records in freestyle races.
Edgar Betancourt led the way with another school record swim in the 500 free moving up to 44th in the NAIA national rankings. Lance Kersey, CJ Trettel, Boaz Hering, and Mark Sierra all broke at least one personal record in a freestyle race.
After the meet, Seniors Noah Froese and Mark Sierra were honored with Senior Recognition Day.
Coach Brad Hering closed his senior presentation by saying, "It is hard to compare this senior class to other great senior classes in years before, but this is a special group of student athletes who each are committed to following the Lord and all of them have been so important to this team."
