Number Six Firestorm To Open 2024-25 Season With Fultz Classic

Howell (8) and Hudgens (1) top the ACU returners.

Glendale, Ariz.- With an NAIA preseason number six ranking, Arizona Christian Men's Basketball is ready to open their 2024-25 season. The Firestorm will tip-off their season by hosting the annual Fultz Classic in the ACU Events Center on Friday and Saturday.

Arizona Christian
The Firestorm finished the 2023-24 season with a record of 25-8 after advancing to the NAIA National Tournament Round of 16. Arizona Christian is the four time reigning GSAC regular season champion and won the GSAC tournament last season as well. The 2024-25 squad, the GSAC preseason top pick, will be led by NAIA Third Team All-American Trent Hudgens. Fifth year and graduate student Dominic Gonzalez will be a key part of the gears driving the Firestorm. ACU returns eleven and features eight newcomers with a goal of going all the way to the top.

Series Notes
The Firestorm are facing the Justice College Lions for the first time.

Arizona Christian and La Sierra have not faced off since December 2012. They are 5-5 against each other since the 2004-05 season. However, since first playing each other in 1991-92, the Golden Eagles hold a 14-10 edge against the Firestorm.

Justice
The Lions went 7-16 in the 2023-24 season. They host OUAZ tonight before coming to Glendale on Friday.

La Sierra
The Golden Eagles concluded their 2023-24 season with a record of 10-19.

Taylor
The Trojans were 11-18 a season ago. Former ACU Assistant Coach Austin Peters is in his first season leading the Trojans.
