No. 6 Montana Western Too Much For The Firestorm

Dillon, Mont. - A fast start in the first half for the Bulldogs turned into another heartbreaking loss for the Firestorm.

The defense of the Firestorm had a rough go giving up 48 first half points and allowing 457 total passing yards with eight touchdowns in the game. Arizona Christian's offense struggled in the first three quarters of the game, but moved the ball well at times and got things going in the fourth quarter, with 214 yards total rushing and with seven points to show for it.

Freshman running back Andrew Trapp showed a lot of flashes during the game- especially on the first play of scrimmage for a 39 yard run- the longest run of the season for ACU. Another true freshman running back Kale Konen, playing in front of his hometown crowd, had a consistent day to help with the run game.

Senior safety Jackson Oritz recorded nine tackles with one pass break up.  Senior defensive tackle Erick Ibochwa had his best game so far this season with six tackles and a tackle for loss of 3 yards. The Firestorm defense tightened up in the fourth quarter, only giving up 7 points, but by then it was too late.
