Irvine, Calif.- Playing in the nice stadium of the OC Great Park, Hope International scored the first and last goal to beat Arizona Christian on Thursday afternoon. Marcos Mora scored the ACU goal- his first in a Firestorm uniform.

- The beginning and the end of the first half were the downfall for the Firestorm
- HIU scored in the third minute and with 49 seconds left before halftime
- Sandwiched in between in the 21st minute, Garcia ripped a shot that was blocked before Mora collected and found the back of the net
- Despite allowing 24 shots, only five were on goal (including just one in the second half) against the Firestorm defense
- ACU put two shots on goal in the final 45 minutes but could not find the equalizer

"We again played well enough to get a result. I thought the play from our back line and goalkeeper was phenomenal.
Logan Johnson covered a ton of ground for us. Right now it is only a matter of sharpness and an extra edge in a couple moments. We have very good attacking players and I still believe in their ability to convert some of these high quality chances we have been getting. We have been in a tough stretch of play and have played a lot of games on the road. I have no doubt our guys will keep working and improving."

The Firestorm will stay in So Cal and square up with Life Pacific on Saturday. The match will be played at Azusa Pacific University with an 11:30 am kickoff.
