Glendale, Ariz.- With no margin for error as Arizona Christian and Park Gilbert went scoreless in their GSAC opener, goalkeeper Emiliano Vega made three or four big saves to keep the shutout alive on Thursday night.

• About twenty minutes into the match, a low driven shot with eyes for the corner of the goal was barely pushed wide by Vega
• Vega was just getting warmed up
• In the 30th minute, Arce hit rocket of a shot from 30 plus yards out that hit off the post
• That turned out to the last shot of the half for ACU as they were out shot 7-5
• On a free kick served into the box, a header by Park was headed upper 90 before Vega swatted the shot away at the last second
• Seconds later another header for the Buccaneers went wide right
• Vega had more trick up his sleeve as he denied a 1-on-1 breakdown
• The shutout was the second of the season for the Firestorm and Vega
