- In the ninth minute, Rylee Mooberry opened the scoring off a crisp assist from Ella Barron, giving ACU the early advantage.
- Just four minutes later, Cadence Peroff doubled the lead with an unassisted strike to make it 2–0.
- Benedictine Mesa responded in the 15th minute, but the Firestorm defense tightened from there, maintaining the one-goal cushion into halftime.
- Early in the second half, Jameson Maher extended ACU's lead with a finish in the 57th minute, and Peroff added her second goal of the night in the 68th minute to give the Firestorm full control at 4–1.
- The Redhawks managed one late goal in the 86th minute, but the Firestorm's balanced attack and steady defense sealed the victory.
