ACU STUNT Shows Strong Progress In Early Competitions

Glendale, Ariz.- Arizona Christian University's STUNT program is making significant strides in their competitive season, demonstrating remarkable growth and resilience in their early competitions. The team has already faced several established programs, including Arizona State University, University of California Davis, and Hope International University, showcasing their developing skills and competitive spirit.

The program achieved a milestone moment in their inaugural game against UC Davis in early February, securing their first-ever points in both partner stunt and pyramid events. This achievement marks a significant step forward for the developing program and highlights the team's potential for future success.

"I am very proud of the girls this weekend for showing everyone all the hard work we put in despite unforeseen struggles the week prior. They stayed positive and enthusiastic while hitting their routines and making improvements with each game," stated first year Head Coach Kaelin Hahn.

The program has seen several individual achievements worth noting. Isabella Holguin demonstrated exceptional adaptability by stepping into a flying role just weeks before the first competition, executing her routines with remarkable precision. Additionally, Angel Stewart and Kaylee Borboa have successfully incorporated new tumbling skills into their competitive routines, showcasing the team's commitment to continuous improvement.

The Firestorm will host their first home competition of the season on March 5th against Ottawa University Arizona (OUAZ). The match will begin at 7:00 PM in the Firestorm Recreation Center (FRC), providing an opportunity for the ACU community to support their STUNT program in person.

This season has already featured multiple newcomers competing in their first-ever STUNT competitions, marking an important development phase for the program. The team's dedication to improvement and positive attitude continue to drive the program forward as they prepare for their upcoming home debut.  Come out and support your Firestorm STUNT program on March 5!
