No. 2 ACU Sandy Birds Earn Their First Sweep Of The Season

Glendale, Ariz. - Arizona Christian, ranked number two in the NAIA, earned their first sweep of the season when they beat Wayland Baptist 5-0 on Saturday to close out their season opening home stand.

Haley Brown and Riley Brown won in the two slot of the lineup to get the sweep started.  Emily Katzer and Jaiden Zeis won at the fours to give ACU a 2-0 cushion.  Due to moving the fives of Alyssa Robles and Aaliyah Malden to the first wave, the ACU duo locked the team win despite being the only match to go five sets.

Wave number two saw the duo of Brianna Boeckman and Emee Fellens win at the top of the lineup.  The number three pair of Eliana Cho and Abigail Nelson capped the scoring with their two set win.  In exhibition play at six, Robles paired with Kapri Espinosa to win in straight sets.
