Glendale, Ariz.- The #14 Arizona Christian Women's Basketball team travels to Madison, S.D. for the First and Second Round of the NAIA Women's Basketball Championships this Friday and Saturday March 14 and 15 as part of the Duer Bracket. In Round One, ACU will face the Governors State Jaguars, winners of the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference tournament. The winner will advance to the bracket championship game on Saturday afternoon as 4:00pm.

The #14 Firestorm enter the NAIA Duer Bracket having won eight of their last ten games and are celebrating their first GSAC Regular Season Championship in program history. They are led by GSAC Player of the Year winner
Alyssa Alvarez who enters the tournament averaging 15.7 points per game. Alvarez receives strong support from fellow All-Conference members
Halle Payne (10.8 ppg), and
Emily Till (8.7 ppg and 11.8 rpg).
Governors State (IL)
The RV Jaguars enter the NAIA Duer Bracket having won 13 of their last 14 games, including the CCAC tournament championship. In the championship game, senior Zareia Chevre led the way with a dominant performance of 38 points and 11 rebounds. For the season, Chevre has averaged 19.0 points and 6.1 rebounds while averaging 43 percent from three-point range. She is supported by grad senior Tabetha Jones who averages 17.3 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 5.0 assists. Junior Cencere McDaniel has also had a strong season averaging 13.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game.
