ACU Sweeps Doubleheader Against Nobel In High-Scoring Matchups

Glendale, Ariz.- The FIrestorm dominated both games of their doubleheader against the Nobel University Knights, winning in decisive fashion to improve to 24-8-1 on the season.

Trey Tarver led the offensive charge with a four-hit, five-RBI performance, while Sean Garcia contributed four hits and seven RBIs, including a triple. The FIrestorm racked up 20 hits and took advantage of the Knights' pitching struggles to plate runs in nearly every inning. On the mound, Eastyn Culp was sharp, allowing just two runs over four innings while striking out six.

In game two, Nobel struck first in the nightcap with an RBI double, but ACU quickly answered with two runs in the bottom of the first. The Firestorm then pulled away with a four-run fourth inning, highlighted by Tarver's two-run home run. They put the game out of reach in the sixth with a six-run outburst, capitalizing on wild pitches and clutch hitting. Tarver once again starred, going 4-for-4 with a home run, a triple, and two RBIs. Sean Garcia continued his hot bat, driving in three runs, while Andrew Ivy added three hits and two RBIs. Chay Esqueda earned his first win in relief, tossing a scoreless inning.
