The Firestorm Dominates Wyoming in Huge Victory

Glendale, AZ.–  ACU put on a commanding performance Thursday afternoon, cruising past the University of Wyoming with a decisive 17-3 victory. From the opening whistle, the Firestorm took control, netting six unanswered goals in the first quarter and never looking back. Kellen Haigh led the offensive explosion with five goals and 2 assists, while Parker Vigue added four goals and one assist of his own. The Firestorm's relentless attack saw them add six more goals in the third quarter before closing out the game with two in the final frame. ACU's defense also held strong, shutting out Wyoming in both the first and fourth quarters. 

With the win, Arizona Christian continues to showcase its offensive firepower.

Inside The Game
  • In the first quarter, the Firestorm scored six goals right fairly quickly, and Vigue scored two of them. ACU led 6-0 at the end of the first. 
  • The Firestorm added another three goals in the second quarter, while Wyoming scored two of their own. ACU extended their lead 9-2 going into the half.
  • ACU's momentum kept going and they were on fire as they scored another six goals. Vogue, Brown and Waddell all contributed with goals. 
  • The Firestorm's defense was also incredible, only allowing one goal. ACU extended their lead 15-2 at the end of the third quarter. 
  • The Firestorm scored two more goals in the fourth quarter, including Haigh scoring his fifth goal of the game and sealing the victory. 
  • ACU won the game, 17-3.

The Firestorm will have another home game and host Loyola Marymount University on Saturday at 4pm.
