Arizona Christian And The Master’s To Face Off For GSAC Championship… Again

Santa Clarita, Calif.- In a repeat of the 2024 GSAC Championship matchup, Arizona Christian and The Master's will face off on Tuesday evening in the 2025 GSAC Championship game. The Firestorm look to repeat as the tournament champs.  The top two seeds of the tournament will meet on TMU's home court.

The Firestorm (25-4), two seed in the tournament and ranked number three in the NAIA, advanced to the championship game after beating Hope International 69-60 on Saturday.  Anthony Howell went for 18 points.  ACU makes their fourth appearance in the GSAC championship game with a championship record of 2-1.  The Firestorm beat The Master's 96-95 on a neutral floor in 2024, won 83-82 over Hope International on a neutral floor in 2020, and lost a double overtime thriller 112-111 at Concordia (CA) in 2013.

Series Notes
The Mustangs hold a 21-17 all-time edge over the Firestorm.  The teams split their two meetings earlier this season.  In the last six meetings, the teams have alternated wins.  Prior to that last six game span ACU won six straight and TMU won eight straight before the Firestorm win streak.  The Mustangs hold a 10-7 record versus the Firestorm when playing in their home gym since 2004.

ACU averages 79.1 points while giving up 67 points- both third GSAC.  TMU goes for 82.2 points (first GSAC) and allows 65.8 points (second GSAC).

The Master's
The Mustangs (25-4), top seed in the tournament and ranked number eight in the NAIA, edged out Embry-Riddle (AZ) 87-85 in their semifinal game.  Kaleb Lowery, the GSAC Player of the Year, had 31 points and 16 rebounds.  The Master's has not played in the championship game since they completed a championship three-peat in 2017-19.  TMU beat Jessup 89-74 in 2019, won 88-73 over Westmont in 2018, and in 2017 edged Hope International 79-74.
