Wierman Named GSAC Pitcher of the Week

Glendale, Ariz.- On Monday, the GSAC announced the Players of the Week and Arizona Christian's Frank Wierman was selected GSAC Baseball's Pitcher of the Week, presented by Athletic Solutions.

Wierman, a Surprise, AZ native, had a stellar performance on Friday night against Spring Arbor by pitching 7.0 innings (116 pitches total), struck out a season high of 14 batters, allowed only one run, one hit, and two walks. The left-handed pitcher helped the Firestorm defeat the Cougars, 2-1.

Wierman improved his record to 2-1 with an ERA of 5.87.
