Fullerton, CA- Despite only be outshot 15-10, ACU men's soccer fell 5-2 at Hope International on Thursday to begin GSAC play.  Junior Anthony Archuleta scored two goals but it was not enough.

The first nine minutes saw a corner kick turned header wide left for HIU and two ACU corner kicks taken by Sophomore Alex Segura.

But the next stat of the game saw the Royals (5-1-2, 1-0 GSAC) cashed in their first goal of the day.

Sophomore Damian Sanchez sent a shot wide left for the Firestorm (5-3, 0-1 GSAC).

However, the next two shots from Hope International found the back of the net.  Although they only trailed 5-3 in the shot column, ACU found themselves down 3-0 headed to the break.

Move ahead to the 64th minute and HIU went in front 4-0.

Five minutes later, ACU found the scoreboard when Archuleta converted a penalty kick.

After surrendering their fifth goal, Archuleta took a feed from Sophomore Marcello Meale and placed his sixth goal of the season into the lower corner of the net.

On Saturday, the Firestorm will head to Vanguard in Costa Mesa for a 1:30 pm kick-off.
