Box Score Atherton, CA- In a tight quarterfinal GSAC tournament battle, third seed Arizona Christian was able to come out with the win over sixth seed Menlo. Senior Courtney Christmas scored 36 points in the 79-74 win.

- It was a battle from the get go
- Menlo took the initial lead but ACU took it back over three minutes in
- Although it was back and forth, the Oaks held the lead for most of the second and third quarters
- The Firestorm took the lead for good with 4:41 left in the game
- 20 cumulative points were scored in the final minute of the game
- There were 10 ties and 12 lead changes

"It was tournament basketball at the GSAC tourney tonight at Menlo and both teams fought hard to the end."
"The victory was extra sweet since we just lost to Menlo last week. To be able to come back to their home court and knock them out of the tournament was a special win. Both teams have some great seniors and neither team took a play off the entire game. Just a great GSAC conference matchup."
On Friday, the Firestorm play in round two of the GSAC tournament against #10 Westmont who is the two seed in the conference tournament. Tip-off is set for 5:00 pm (Pacific)/ 6:00 pm (Arizona).
