Box Score

Thoughts from Coach

After the match, Top Assistant Coach John Powell stated, "We were unable to disrupt their play in the first half and they deservedly took the lead into the break.  I thought the boys responded well in the second half and had a chance to level the game.  Give credit to MACU - they were the better team today.  We will learn from this, recover, and prepare for Saturday."

The Game:

The only score of the opening half was a successful penalty kick from Mid-America Christian at 26:37.  The Firestorm were able to total five shots in the second half, but the Evangels would add one additional goal at 71:31 as they would go on to blank ACU, 2-0.
