Four Different Players Score in 4-0 Shutout of Life Pacific

Box Score

GLENDALE, Ariz. - The Arizona Christian University men's soccer program (3-3-0; 1-1-0 GSAC) made Head Coach John Powell a winner in his first game leading the team, earning a 4-0 shutout of Life Pacific University (2-2-0; 0-2-0 GSAC) Thursday afternoon on the ACU Football Field.

Game Notes:

ACU leads 1-0 in the all-time series.  Thursday's game was the first between the Firestorm and Warriors as Life Pacific resurrected its men's soccer program after not having one for over a decade.

The win gives ACU back-to-back shutout wins for the first time since defeating Park University - Gilbert and Marymount California University, 18-0 and 2-0 in back-to-back games between Sept. 5-7, 2019.

The Game:

The contest was all-ACU as the Firestorm would shut out the Warriors while adding two goals in each half.  The scoring started at 28:32 on a Life Pacific own goal.  The goal was credited to Nestor Serrano since the force of his initial shot attempt is what propelled the ball off of a defender and into the net.

ACU added its second goal at 37:45 off the foot of Tatsuma Yuki and would continue scoring in the second half, with unassisted goals coming from Ethan Molter at 53:49 and from German Lopez at 60:24.
