The Firestorm hit the ground running in tonight's matchup, securing some key rebounds early and holding the Warriors offense to limited looks at the basket. ACU took a 5 point lead into the locker room at halftime, and unfortunately it stayed there. To start off the 3rd quarter Westcliff went on an unanswered 13-point run to take back the lead and eventually hold onto it for the rest of the night. In the second half as a whole, ACU was out-scored by the Warriors by 29 points. The shots just weren't falling in for the Firestorm tonight, shooting just 27% from the field as a team. ACU will look to bounce back before next week's conference game.
Next for the Firestorm
Women's basketball continues this homestand on December 1st when they play the first of two games against the Hope International Royals. That GSAC double header between both men's and women's basketball will start at 4:30 PM in the ACU Events Center.
