Arizona Christian
Women's basketball is 2-5 on the season following a loss to Westcliff University last week. In that game ACU started off well, but couldn't maintain the energy in the second half, which is something they'll be sure to improve on in this weekend's matchups. Both Firestorm wins this season came at home in the Events Center, which bodes well for Thursday and Saturday.
ACU Key Players
Alyssa Alvarez - 17.2 pts, 4.5 asts per game
Graciela Roybal - 9.4 pts, 2.14 rebs per game
Halle Payne - 9 pts, 5.7 rebs per game
Series Notes
Against the Royals, women's basketball has had a tough go in recent history, having lost the last three matchups. Prior to that however, ACU was victorious over the Royals in three straight matchups. The most recent win over HiU was headlined by Toni Davis, who recorded her career high of 24 points to lift the team to a win.
Women's basketball has a much better history when playing against San Diego Christian. Sitting on a current two-game win streak, ACU is 13-8 all time against the Hawks. Other than one loss in the 20-21 season, the Firestorm have been victorious over SDCC in their last 13 matchups dating all the way back to 2015.
Hope International
The Royals are 7-1 this season and are currently riding a 7-game win streak following a loss in their season opener to Antelope Valley. Notable wins in that stretch include GSAC opponents Menlo and William Jessup, as well as Westcliff, and most recently Saint Katherin by a final score of 56-41. In their 8 games played this season, the Royals are only giving up an average of 58 points per game, while also scoring an average of 82 points per game.
San Diego Christian
The Hawks started the season off well winning both of their first two games, but since then have fallen to 2-6 on the year. Last week San Diego Christian dropped a close one to Antelope Valley and scored the most points in a game all season with 68. They'll take on OUAZ on Thursday before making their way across town to the ACU Events Center on Saturday.
