Glendale, Ari. -  Men's soccer dropped a hard fought match to the Embry-Riddle Eagles despite matching them shot for shot on the offensive end.

ACU generated a lot of scoring opportunities early but were unable to connect

ERAU took an early 1-0 lead in the 9th minute

The defense got their work in early in the first half with ERAU getting off 8 shots

Ballesteros tied the game at 1-1 at 25:27 with help from Hanna

The tie would be broken by what would hold up as the game winning goal from ERAU just 10 minutes later

The second half of the match was more offense based, with ACU and ERAU trading off shots back and forth.

The Eagles scored again at 71:16 taking the lead up to two.

ACU would get two more shots on goal but still were unable to connect

ERAU would score their final goal in the 88th minute giving ACU their first official loss of the 2022 season

Men's soccer continues on their streak of away games on Saturday, September 17th when they head down to Surprise, Arizona to face the OUAZ Spirit.  The non-conference matchup will be played on Spirit Field, kickoff at 7 PM.  The spirit are currently 4-1-1 following a tie with Park Gilbert last weekend.
