Goodyear, AZ- The women's swim team opened the 2025-26 campaign victoriously against club teams from Grand Canyon and Arizona State, as well as the meets host, OUAZ.  
 
The team succeeded in winning multiple events.  Senior Abbey Lair won the 200 and 50 freestyles while freshman Camilla Oviedo won both the 100 breaststroke and 500 freestyle.  Oviedo also helped both relay teams to victory which propelled the Firestorm by Grand Canyons Club team by a slim 1.5 points.

"Superior performances on the women's team led by Abbey and Camilla!  Also, Claire Eilers won the 100 free. Many in season best times and great drops across the board.  Every event counted for points to claim 1st place over GCU club, ASU Club and Ottawa."
