Elkhart, IN – The Women's Swim Team competed at the NAIA Swim & Dive Championships in Elkhart, IN over the weekend, and were able to finish 14^th overall in the event with the 400 Freestyle Relay earning All-American honors.
 
The team took seven swimmers to the meet including veteran Eva Garraux.  Garraux, a three time All-American, specializes in the 100 and 200 Butterfly, and she was able to finish 13^th and 15^th respectively in the two events this year while accomplishing season-best times.  Appropriately, the senior earned her fourth and final All-American honor racing with her teammates in the 400 Freestyle Relay.  The team of Garraux, Abbey Lair, Kateryna Kashyrina, and Claire Eilers took seventh overall, and set a new program record in the process. 
 
Other top performances included both relay teams setting new program records in the 200 Medley Relay and the 800 Freestyle Relay.  Individually, Lair set a new personal best in the 200 Freestyle with a time of 1:59.00, as did Audrey Washburn and Robin Abrams in the 400 IM racing to 4:48.86 and 4:52.68 respectively.

 "Resilience is a rare gift for any team. After great performances at GSAC conference and the PCSC conference 2 weeks ago, our men and women displayed amazing resilience throughout the four day NAIA National Swimming championship in Elkhart, Indiana!

Our women placed 14th in the Nation with excellent performances especially in the 400 free relay! Abbey Lair, Kateryna Kashyrina, Eva Garraux and Claire Eilers pulled off an amazing finale placing 7th and setting another ACU record.
