Marion, IN – The Firestorm Track & Field program will have representation from both the men's and women's programs at the NAIA Track & Field National Championships this week. The championships are being held in Marion, IN on the campus of Indiana Wesleyan University, and will be a three-day event starting Wednesday May 21, and concluding on Friday May 23.
Representing the women's program is sophomore pole vaulter
McKenna Rogers who will be competing in her first ever national championship event. Rogers is ranked #13 in the nation after she set a new personal best at the Redlands Last Chance Meet last weekend with a height of 12' 2.75". Pole Vault competition will begin Wednesday at 12:00pm (EST).
Representing the men's program is sophomore shot putter
TaHaj Acoff. Acoff earned All-American honors in the shot put at Indoor Nationals this winter and so will be going for his second All-American of the year. Acoff is ranked #10 in the nation with a season best throw of 55" which was thrown at the Glendale Invite back in April. Men's Shot Put will be competed on Friday May 23, starting at 1:00pm (EST).
