Las Vegas, NV – The Firestorm Men's Track & Field program traveled north to Las Vegas to participate in the Rebel Elite Invite hosted by UNLV. Facing numerous NCAA Division 1 and 2 teams, the Firestorm fought, and in some cases were aided by, windy conditions all day long.
Leading the way for the men's team was jumper
Mikhail Browne who finished second overall in the long jump. Joining him the field events was Tahaj Acoff who punched his ticket to the NAIA National Championships with a "B" Standard throw of 52' 10.5".
Other impressive performances included Trent Wheeler who set a new personal best in both the 100 and 200 meter races, as did Isaac Linan in the 800, and Thaddeus Thurman in the 400-meter hurdles.
