Glendale, Ariz.- The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced the 2025 NAIA Baseball All-America Teams on Wednesday. Appearing on the list of ABCA/Rawlings Second Team All-Americans were
Trey Tarver and
Jackson Hohensee for Arizona Christian Baseball.
Tarver, out of Surprise, AZ, topped the Firestorm with a .382 average, hits (78), home runs (17), at bats (204), slugging percentage (.735), and on base percentage (.502). His 79 RBI ranked number 11 in the NAIA. The most impressive feat of his season was a 77-game reach base streak that started in the final 38 games of 2024.
Listed as a designated hitter on the All-American list, Tarver concluded his four-year career at Arizona Christian as the all-time leader in games played (189), games started (170), triples (tied at eight), and walks (112). The lefty all the way proved his utility also as a first baseman and pitcher throughout his career. Tarver can be found second on the ACU all-time list in at bats (652), hits (223), doubles (42), home runs (34), RBI (169), total bases (383), and strikeouts per nine innings (13.53). He is in the top five in several other categories.
Hohensee, from Anthem, AZ, was tied for tenth in the NAIA with 25 appearances while boasting a team best 12 saves and 3.07 ERA. His save total placed him second in the NAIA. In addition his 12 saves tied him for most in a season in the ACU archives. Hohensee was dialed in with an eight-inning scoreless streak that spanned six appearances in the heart of the season.
After starting 25 games in the first three years of his four-year ACU career, Hohensee did all his work in the 2025 season at the back end of the Firestorm bullpen. The righty's 72 all-time appearances as a pitcher are tied for the most in the ACU archives. Twenty-nine games started rank fourth while his 33 games finished and five combined shutouts ranks second for ACU Baseball. He is third in career strikeouts (205) and strikeouts looking (60). Baseball and his faith went hand-in-hand as he faced 777 batters- fifth most at ACU.

With Tarver and Hohensee leading the way, the Firestorm qualified for NAIA postseason for the second straight year and won 40 games for the first time in program history.
