Glendale, Ariz.- On Tuesday, the College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced the 2024-25 CSC Academic All-America Baseball Teams and Trey Tarver was voted Second Team Academic All-American.  Joining Tarver on the CSC Academic All-District list was Kane Kiaunis, Frank Wierman, and Sean Garcia.

To be nominated by their College Sports Communicator (aka SID), Student-athletes must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played or must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games. For pitchers, a student-athlete must have made at least 17 appearances or pitched 35 innings. 

Tarver, out of Surprise, AZ, topped the Firestorm with a .382 average, hits (78), home runs (17), at bats (204), slugging percentage (.735), and on base percentage (.502).  His 79 RBI ranked number 11 in the NAIA.  The most impressive feat of his season was a 77-game reach base streak that started in the final 38 games of 2024. The NAIA All-American graduated with an impressive effort while earning a degree in interdisciplinary studies. 

Kiaunis, out of North Plains, OR, finished the season with a .330 average, 61 hits, 15 home runs, 206 at bats, .660 slugging percentage, and an on base percentage of .410. Kiaunis impressed with his work on a degree in business administration. 

Wierman, out of Surprise, AZ, finished the season with an ERA of 3.37, a record of 10-2, a WHIP of 1.30, pitched 74.2 innings, threw 109 strikeouts, and had 28 earned runs. Wierman impressed with his work on a degree in business administration. 

Garcia, out of La Mirada, CA, finished the season with a .362 average, 63 hits, two triples, 174 at bats, .431 slugging percentage, and an on base percentage of .428. Garcia impressed with his work on a degree in secondary education.
