Fullerton, CA- Senior Luis Tapia scored in his third straight game but Arizona Christian was turned away for the third time in a row.  Saturday's loss came in the form of 2-1 against #17 Hope International.

HIU took the first five shots of the game before Tapia sent a shot wide left.  Freshman Juan Mora attempted the second ACU shot.

In the 27th minute, Mora and Tapia teamed up as Mora served in a free kick that Tapia flicked into the left side of the net.  For Tapia, his team leading sixth goal gave ACU a 1-0 edge.

However, the Royals countered six minutes later with corner kick/header combination to create a 1-1 tie.

Just one more shot was taken the rest of the half.

The second half started with the Royals controlling the ball as they took ten shots in the first 18 plus minutes.  Shot number ten turned out to be the game winner as a clear attempt off corner kick resulted in a shot into the upper part of the goal.

ACU had their chances as shots from Sophomore Brian Booker (pictured) and Freshman Damian Sanchez required saves before Mora went wide right and then hit the post.

The Firestorm outshot the Royals 3-1 down the stretch including one from Senior Jacob Drenth but could not cash in the equalizer.

On Saturday, the Firestorm will close out their season at San Diego Christian with game time set for 4:00 pm at Cuyamaca College.
