Glendale, AZ - The Arizona Christian University women's soccer program (3-8-1, 0-4-1) dropped their final home game of the year 4-1 to Hope International (7-0-1, 2-0-1) on Thursday afternoon at the ACU Football Field

The Game:

The Royals attacked from the whistle and opened the scoring at 2:03 to make it 1-0. They didn't let up from there as they scored again at 9:05 to go up 2-0. The Firestorm fought back just a few moments later as Adriana Contreras weaved her way through the Royals backline and finished it off with a goal at 9:34 to cut the lead to 2-1. An energized Firestorm team searched for the equalizer but it wasn't to be as the Royals would add another at 13:32 to make it 3-1 which is where the score would stand at halftime. The Firestorm had a couple chances in the second half but were unable to add to their tally while Hope struck again to start the second half as they went on to win 4-1. Today was also senior day and saw nine Firestorm seniors honored after the game.
