Box Score Glendale, AZ. - The Arizona Christian University women's basketball team (1-1) rebounded from its season opening loss as they took down Embry-Riddle (AZ) (1-2) 88-73 on Friday evening on the road in Prescott, AZ.
Thoughts from Coach:
After the game, Head Coach Rusty Rogers said, " Always a relief to get the first win under our belt! Although Embry Riddle was short-handed, we still did things out on the floor that was very encouraging—unselfish play and relentless effort first and foremost. Freshman Graciela Roybal and sophomores Kaycee Brown and Alyssa Alvarez had special games in limited minutes. Our outstanding depth really made a difference and allowed us to build the lead to 27 points fairly early in the second half. We are still far from the team I believe we will become but it's nice to see progress from game 1 to game 2."
