From a defensive standpoint, the Warriors were unrelenting.  From the opening whistle Jessup was on the attack, putting a shot on the goal just four minutes into the game.  Sanchez worked hard today, with the Warriors 11 shots on goal it seems she stayed on her toes for the duration of the match.  The first Warrior goal came at the 31st minute mark.  Less than two minutes later Mercado would even the score with her first goal of the season that came via the ricochet off of the Jessup keeper before finding the back of the net.  Unfortunately that goal would be the end of scoring action for the Firestorm today as they went on to lose this match 2-1 with the final Warrior goal coming in the 80th minute.

Both soccer teams will make their way home to play host one last time in regular season play when they take on the visiting OUAZ Spirit on Friday, October 28th.  Both games will be played at ACU Football Field, kickoff at 5:45 PM.
