In the first half of this match the offensive front was almost completely controlled by the Royals.  HIU was able to get off ten shots, four corner kicks, and two goals in the first half of play without allowing the Firestorm to have any.  ACU was able to turn that effort around in the second half with Apodaca almost finding the net just five minutes after the break.  Another shot by Mercado in the 85th minute and a few outside attempts up to that point would be the closest ACU got to scoring in this match.  Royals hand Firestorm their second conference loss of the year.  

Next Match:

Women's soccer returns home for a two game set next weekend against San Diego Christian and Vanguard.  Both teams are currently ahead of the Firestorm in GSAC standings so a good opportunity for ACU to climb the ladder and earn a postseason spot.
