Series Notes
The Firestorm have met the Warriors twice in their history, most recently in their opening game last season where ACU lost 3-2. Back in 2010, Corban beat ACU in a 4-0 game. ACU now looks for their first win in a series they find themselves down 0-2.
In their only meeting with OT in 2014, the Firestorm lost a close 2-1 match against the Owls.
Corban
The Warriors open their season at ACU after finishing 2022 with an overall record of 11-4-3 and conference record of 7-2-3. Their road trip in Arizona continues on Saturday as they take on OUAZ and round it out with a Sunday match against Embry-Riddle (AZ). Travez Whyte enters his first season as head coach for the Warriors, as he will serve in an interim year for the program.
Oregon Tech
Before taking on ACU, the Owls kick off their 2023 season on Saturday, August 19 when they visit Park University Gilbert. They enter a fresh slate of games coming off an overall record of 6-5-5 and conference record of 5-3-4 in 2022. Tom Moore strides into his first season as head coach at Oregon Tech after serving as the head coach for Highline Community College from 2006-2022.
