Firestorm Fall Short in First Dual of Season

Plain View, Texas- Despite strong individual efforts, ACU Wrestling came up just short in the first dual of the 2025-26 season. In 10 total matches, the Firestorm managed five wins and could not establish the momentum necessary to keep pace with Wayland Baptist. Cilus Cabral, Michael Trujillo, Nicholas Pina, Leonardo Galasso, and Bronson Swan each earned individual victories.

"Today our Firestorm Wrestlers stepped on the mat for the first time this season. Our guys wrestled tough, but we came out on the wrong end of a few close matches. Several of our wrestlers scored bonus points, but it was the bonus points that we gave up that decided the dual. We are thankful to have had the opportunity to get on the mat and identify some mistakes early in the season before the Falcon Open tomorrow."
