Glendale, Ariz.- The Arizona Christian University Track & Field duo of
Brandon Ericson and Trent Janssen were named to the 2025 CSC Academic All-District Track & Field / Cross Country Teams which were recently announced by College Sport Communicators (CSC).
To be nominated by their College Sports Communicator (aka SID), a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically with a 3.50 cumulative GPA and be in the top-25 of their conference in at least one event. A nomination by their CSC earns the student-athlete All-District honors. Select All-District finalists move up to the CSC Academic All-America ballot where a national committee determines the All-American Teams.
Ericson, from Gilbert, AZ, competed in both cross country and track & field. In cross country, he twice earned All-Conference recognition, and three times qualified for the NAIA Cross Country Championships. As a track & field athlete, Ericson graduates with program records in the 1500 (3:56), 3000 (8:45), and 5000 (14:46) meter events. In May, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Organizational Leadership.
Janssen, from Waddell, AZ, competed in both cross country and track & field. His senior campaign, he finished 21
st at the GSAC meet and earned a trip to the NAIA Cross Country Championships. In track & field, Janssen finished second place in the Steeplechase to earn All-Conference recognition. In May, he graduated with a degree in Business Administration and will begin work on a master's in physical therapy this fall at Northern Arizona University.
