Las Vegas, NV – The Firestorm Women's Track & Field program travelled north to Las Vegas to participate in the Rebel Elite Invite hosted by UNLV. Facing numerous NCAA Division 1 and 2 teams, the Firestorm fought, and in some cases were aided by, windy conditions all day long.
Leading the way for the women's team was pole vaulter
McKenna Rogers who set a new personal best and program record of 12' 0.75" which was also a "B" standard for the NAIA National Championship Meet. It was initially thought that Rogers had just missed the mark after the standard fell on her third attempt. But judges deemed the fall wind aided and gave Rogers the mark. Cheney Gomez who set new personal best marks in the both the shot put and javelin and was the team's top performer in both.

Shaylee Quenzer in the 400-meter hurdles. After setting the school record on March 8 in Tucson, Quenzer has run the 400 hurdles three more times and has improved her school record time with each performance.
