Glendale, AZ- Joining a host of top cross country teams across the NAIA, Division One and Division Two levels, the Firestorm Women's team competed in the Highlander Cross Country Invitational.
Once again, the first Firestorm to cross the finish line was senior
Allena Fugatt who ran a season best time of 23:18.  Following Fugatt though was freshman
Priscilla Celis-Saldivar who ran a new personal best of 24:13. Â
Head Coach
Brent Fahsholz said, "I was really excited for the race Priscilla ran today.  She executed her race plan perfectly.  We spoke earlier in the week about slowing down just a little bit earlier in the race so she could be more competitive in the latter portions of the race, and she responded by passing twenty-five people over the final four thousand meters."
Also running was freshman
Eva Huff who finished in 24:52, junior
Kaesha Guillaume who ran 25:01, and junior
Madeline Davis who ran a season best time of 27:10.
Said Coach Fahsholz, "Eva and Kaesha struggled today, but come out of the race healthy, and capable of running better.  Both ladies are big race runners, and I am excited to see them rise to the occasion at the GSAC Championships in just three weeks."
