Thoughts from Coach Fahsholz
"I was excited to see our women's team compete for the first time this season. Obviously very pleased with Alison and Kaesha's performances. They ran program top five times for this course and really ran a good race. We were missing three of our top runners today, and so I was really pleased to see our two freshmen ladies step up to help us hold off a talented Coconino team and secure second place. And the course they did it on was no joke. This is arguably the most difficult course in the nation when you combine altitude, hills and terrain. Competing in and finishing a course like this will be a great foundation for them, and the whole team, as we prepare for our next 5k two weeks from now."
