Santa Clarita, CA- Freshman
Alexi Till (24:44) and Sophomore
Priscilla Celis-Saldivar (25:57) returned from injury to run their first race of the season and help the women's cross country team finish thirteenth place at the Master's Invitational.
Like two weeks ago, junior
Alison Unruh (23:26) and senior
Kaesha Guillaume (24:28) were the Firestorms 1-2 punch at the front. Unruh's time is the third fastest all-time in program history at Central Park. Finishing in the #5 slot was freshman
Brennen Stephens (27:48).
Thoughts from Coach Fahsholz
"I thought our ladies did a really nice job of simply competing. For the most part, they placed themselves in the crowd where they needed to early on and committed to the race. Coming back from injury, we knew Alexi and Priscilla would not be at their fastest yet, but their effort today was spot on. Three of our top five had never run a 6k before today, and so I am excited to see them improve as they gain more experience at the distance."
