Glendale, AZ – The Firestorm Track & Field program took a short trip down the road from campus to Glendale Community College, and competed in the Gaucho Invite on Saturday afternoon. Among many strong performances was freshman
Georgia Gomez setting a new program record in the 400 with a time of 1:00.52. This was also a new personal best time for Gomez.
The women's team had one individual winner on Saturday. Junior
Kaesha Guillaume won the women's 3,000 meter race in a time of 11:06.06. This was a new personal best for Guillaume, and the fourth fastest time in program history.
Thoughts from Head Coach Brian Bell
"The coaching staff and I are very excited by the women's team performance today. We have never been this strong or as balanced this time of year. Our indoor season has been very successful and has laid a solid foundation for what we hope to accomplish during the outdoor season."
