San Diego, CA – The Firestorm Track & Field program travelled to San Diego on Friday for a two-day meet hosted by Point Loma University known as the Ross and Sharon Irwin Invitational. The meet was an opportunity to compete against both GSAC competition, and a variety of NCAA universities.
Highlighting a great day of performances was the 4x100 meter relay team of
Jade Roberts, Abigail Johnson,
Georgia Gomez, and
Rylan Rhodes. The quartet set a new program record by running a time of 50.37. The time is currently tops in the GSAC.
Thoughts from Head Coach Brian Bell
"Today was a great day to compete with several teams from our conference. The coaching staff and I were very proud of how our team competed. There were many great performances, but the 4x100 meter relay school record by Roberts, Johnson, Gomez, and Rhodes was a highlight."
